Sreejith Panickar is a political analyst and socio-political debater in English and Malayalam languages. After making his debut with Arnab Goswami in 2015, he has been a regular in news debates, and has appeared on 15+ English and Malayalam channels including national television and radio.
Sreejith Panickar writes columns on India Today Group’s DailyO on politics and history. In the past, he had written columns for DC Books’ Emerging Kerala. He has also published opinions, articles, and op-eds in leading newspapers such as the Daily Mail UK, Sunday Guardian, Mathrubhumi, Deepika, and Sirf News.
Sreejith Panickar is one of the five founder-members of Mission Netaji, an Indian research group that tries to solve the Netaji mystery. He has received multiple invitations from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, to meet and discuss the research. The meeting with Modi led to the historic declassification event, and that with Yadav led to the commissioning of the Gumnami Baba Museum in Faizabad and the constitution of Justice Vishnu Sahai Commission of Inquiry. Media houses such as BBC, Al Jazeera, Tehelka, Malayala Manorama, and Mathrubhumi have featured the work of Mission Netaji in their publications. In 2016, he deposed before the Sahai Commission in Lucknow and submitted his views on Gumnami Baba, a hermit, whom many thought was Netaji in disguise. The 2019 film Gumnaami highlights the work of Mission Netaji.
