Why Rahul Gandhi should become Indian Prime Minister!

Rahul Gandhi is not a light-headed politician. He is much more than that. He is a good crowd puller, not purely because of his lucky Gandhi ticket. He is a good rhetorician, even if he doesn’t exhibit what he says. He is a good showman, thanks to his Rajiv-looks. Above all, he is a good actor. He is someone who likes to sleep over at an Indian’s house, and not a Dalit’s. He is looking only at the larger Indian vote bank and not the Dalit’s, in case if you misapprehended that statement.

He is highly proactive. He expends less. He cuts cost by taking train to go places. Thereafter he spends only a few lakhs per hour for his helicopter journey to villages and other places. He comes to Kerala by even cheaper means – special flights. He imports cars to Kerala for his tough travel to meet up with the youth and understand their problems. An ideal future prime minister, in all senses. Poor plight of India; phew!

    (1) Do you want to ascertain that politicians must not do what they say?

    (2) I did not mention the names of any of the politicians you quoted.

    (3) Manmohan is a doll. Rahul is better than him at least.

    (4) I don't like any political party. For that matter, I don't like any politician.

This is absolutely absurd. I never compared him with Achuthanandan or Pinarayi. Why do you want to say so?

It is none other than Rahul's mom who proposed all ministers and MPs cut costs. And it is during that period in which people travel by cattle class that a person like Rahul visiting college campuses and other places spending crores. What is the effect that you have seen with his expensive travels so far? These travels are means for the Congress to give him more popularity by the time he is projected as the next prime minister. Whether he makes a good PM is to be seen, and not to be predicted.

FYI, I don't like any political leader of these times.

I understand the point you wanted to make. There is a Gandhi ticket to his name. But then, why did he visit here? Was to build the nation? Was it to announce any better deal for the poor, the suffering? “NO”. Why should we then preach one and practise another?

I understand that. Nobody can build a nation that way. But the country cannot afford to have such costly politicians. He would not become a politician this way. These are all gimmicks. If only he realises and saves the money he spends unnecessarily. When Shashi Tharoor was spending on his own, the Congress had complains. And you know the reason why they are keeping mum on Rahul's expenses.

  9. I agree that there is alot of hypocricy when it comes to dealing with Rahul Gandhi by the congress. Infact the whole austerity drive started by teh congress has that undertone and unadultarated double standards. That beibg said, I think the man oozes charisma and has that quality to inspire. But he has to do a lot more than visiting places, visiting dalit homes or for that matter so called “meeting the youth of india”.
