Hope again as facts mire the government!

Hope as we at Mission Netaji see it…


The Central Information Council (CIC) has directed the Indian government to disclose the correspondence it had with the Russians on the disappearance of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The commission has also asked the government to seek Russia’s approval before making the facts public. The whole hope can still be marred by the government because of this clause.

The CIC has also asked the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) to provide the details of the destroyed file on Netaji, which it had in its possession.

Another item of interest in the last three weeks was the increasing complexity created by the Mathai note. The commission expressed that this was one of the most interesting cases that had come before it. The commission also opined that dedicated research is needed in this matter.
